Non-Scale Victory

Yay! Happy dance! THIS, putting THESE shorts on yesterday, was an awesome moment for me!

We had a busy day planned and I was in a rush to get out the door, so didn’t have time to share my little non-scale victory moment. I bought these cute shorts at Target back in March without trying them on and sure enough they did not fit. Too tight, muffintop belly going on, and I likely would have split the butt if I sat down. I honestly didn’t think they would fit since I was currently wearing size 6. Plus, we were still in the middle of moving and some of my clothes were actually getting snug again.

BUT, I kept them and let them be my motivation and progress reward for the summer. We got moved in and settled, I got myself back on track, and wala… I now have a cute new pair of shorts.

If you caught my post last week with my old favorite jeans, I shared that I started this fitness journey at a size 15. Now down to a 4! It’s not always easy, and there will be bumps, and hurdles, and setbacks along the way, but it IS WORTH it! It doesn’t matter how long it takes you, or how far you have to go, if you stay consistent and never give up, it will be rewarding.
